This--the way it progressed was so natural and perfect. It was just layer upon layer of subtle, careful little displays of emotion building up brilliantly to the bitter end...and that ending broke my heart into tiny splintery pieces oh god. Even though, knowing my history, it was inevitable...I think that just made it more gut-wrenching. I LOVE IT. Suffice it to say--I have so much respect for your writing.
