Oh, sweet, I'm so psyched you picked up on the sinister undercurrent. It was probably my favorite thing about all this. There's no way Antarctica can stay happy and innocent, not when so many countries have their hooks in him. It's just a question of how long it's going to last. (And climate change is probably going to reduce his penguin population by 80% over the next fifty years. That was too depressing to even put in the fic. He's going to cry and cry. ._.)
