Which, I guess for Americans is something that we're kinda like, "huh?"
Yeah, I was thinking about that, when I was writing this--how this is just not an issue that would make sense to America at all. Like, preserve his cultural identity? WHAT cultural identity? Man, if somebody else has an idea, stick it in the pot, we'll see how it goes! America is more an attitude than any particular collection of traditions, ethnicities, or beliefs. We're just like "Are you ready to work hard? Can you at least hum a couple bars of the Star Spangled Banner? Do you believe IN AMERICA?! Great, then you're an American for all we care, here's your flag."
