ALL MY STORIES ARE TAKING FOREVER AND IT IS DEMORALIZING.

SO THIS IS NOW A DRABBLE THREAD.

Gimme a prompt, you get (exactly!) 100 words. Hetalia characters only! No porn! And if you make me research anything for a frickin drabble, I will resent you. Other than that, anything goes! I'll do as many as are fun in no particular order until I get tired of it and go back to work on my real stories, la la la.

OKAY, GO.

"At least he notices you," Canada mumbled. His chin sank to the bar. "At least he knows when you're in the room."

"Piss on that," Australia groaned, and waved his pint wide enough that it sailed over Canada's head. "What'd I wooden…wouldn't give to be ignored. Jus' ta be…benevolenently ignored! That'd'd be sho…so nice…to jus' hear England shay, 'Where's Australia? We need that…that silly bugger…oh he's right here…'" His forehead thunked down.

A few seconds later he stuck his head up again and howled, "You made me like this, dad! Was…all for you…"

Canada sighed and gestured for the tab.

1943, Italy declares war on Germany.

YO DOG I HEARD YOU LIKE ARMISTICES

Date: 2009-11-30 08:50 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] pyrrhiccomedy.livejournal.com
Italy had believed in fascism, he had--and it had been something him and Germany could do together. But now so many people were dead and the trains were still late.

America had been really nice about it.

"Ahh, Germany…you understand, though?" Italy wet his lips and fidgeted in the doorway. "I-I can't keep fighting. I want to protect my people."

A cold stare.

"So…" he fussed from foot to foot. "I guess this is, um. This is war."

Germany made no motion for five full seconds. And then he slapped Italy to the ground.

Italy dropped without a fight.

"I'm not cute!"

America grinned at him.

"I'm not!" Canada felt sinky, panicky, but he threw back his shoulders and puffed out his chest and thought about hockey. "I'm, I'm tough! And…manly! So manly!"

"I think being manly is like being classy." America swiped Canada's glasses and cleaned them on the edge of his shirt. "If you have to say you are, you're not."

"And I wrestle bears! And I eat raw meat and I get into fights--"

"--At hockey games--"

"That totally counts! Those are fights! Shut up!"

"Hey, are you still a virgin?"

"Shut up!"

RUSSIA/SPAIN - FLUFF

Date: 2009-12-01 06:55 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] pyrrhiccomedy.livejournal.com
[Okay so it's 127 words. IT'S LIKE YOU GOT ADDED VALUE. Leave me alone.]

Russia twitched back the sheets and pushed open the sheer curtain which hung against his pillow. Orange-yellow sunshine flooded in.

He blinked, squinted, and then rested his laced hands, his chin, on the windowsill. A softly sighing Spanish breeze made everything warm and sweet and smell like chorizo and dried tomato. Garlic, too, dried garlic hung in clusters all around the house; Spain used it like Russia might use a basket of hanging flowers.

He heard Spain turn over in bed beside him. A silence followed, and then a warm, rough hand slid up between his shoulder blades.

"Thank you," Russia murmured.

Spain sat up, tugged his heel in under his opposite leg, and rubbed his eyes. "Hmm? Por qué?"

Russia only turned a smile upon him.

"Hey Lithuania…" America stretched out and propped his chin on his wrists. The sheets tangled up around his legs. "What do you do for fun?"

Lithuania paused, the morning tea tray balanced on one hand--coffee tray, it was a coffee tray in America's house, must remember. "For fun?"

A smile crept around the corner of America's mouth. "Yeah. You know. The thing you do when you're not working or sleeping."

"Nothing," Lithuania confessed. He was usually doing one or the other.

America fumbled up his glasses and pushed them on. "Well, then you wanna do nothing with me today?"

I LOVE LITHUANIA/BELARUS, FFFF

From: [identity profile] pyrrhiccomedy.livejournal.com
It was love at first sight.

She was still just a girl--a child, a perfect child. White-flaxen hair fell to her hips, straight and full as the look in her eyes when Lithuania scooped her up out of the way of the Mongols.

His heart hammered in his chest.

"Wh-who are you?" she demanded, and scrambled for a better perch on his saddle.

"Lithuania." His voice broke; he prayed she didn't notice.

"You have to put me down!" she wriggled in his arms. "My brother is back there! H-he needs help!"

"It's okay," Lithuania whispered. "I'll protect you now."

ENGLAND VS ESCALATOR, AMERICA LOSES

[CAN'T BE BOTHERED LIMITING TO 100 WORDS, so here's 128. XD]

"…England?"

"Hmm?"

America looked up at him from the flagstones at the bottom of the escalator, head tilted, quizzical. He looked a bit like a puzzled dog.

"…That's the…up escalator."

England adjusted his coat on his arm and gave America a mild look. "Yes?"

"…How long have you been…on that thing?"

The coat went from his left arm to his right. He checked his watch. "Nearly twenty minutes, I think."

Another pause.

"Well, we've got a meeting in fifteen, so like…" America trailed off, looked around. Other pedestrians stopped now and then and gave England bemused once-overs.

"Yes of course." Slow, measured, step, step, step. "And I'll be right with you."

"…When?"

England looked down and gave America a beatific smile. "As soon as I reach the bottom."

Sealand and Latvia! Invade Russia's house!

THIS SOMEHOW DOES NOT SEEM LIKE WISDOM

Date: 2009-12-01 07:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] pyrrhiccomedy.livejournal.com
[It's 131 words, so sue me. XD]

Russia and Ukraine's voices echoed in through the wallpaper and the plankings.

"Russia, wh-what--" Ukraine was saying.

A bang, a shudder: Russia swung the sledgehammer again. A rain of plaster dust spattered Sealand's hair.

"I have mice in my walls," Russia explained.

Sealand and Latvia exchanged wide-eyed looks. Their hands tangled together. They sat cramped together in the crawlspace behind Russia's kitchen cabinets.

"I-I could…" Ukraine hemmed. "Put out some…some poison?"

"No, thank you." Bang. "I prefer to deal with them myself." Bang. Bang.

Latvia started to tremble. Sealand whapped him on the head and shushed him.

"But…your walls…" Ukraine's voice screwed up at the end in a helpless squeak.

"It's fine." Bang. A groan as a section of plaster caved in. "Soon they will have noplace left to hide."

RUSSIA/AMERICA WITH BUGS IN IT

Date: 2009-12-01 07:12 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] pyrrhiccomedy.livejournal.com
[134 words. What are you gonna do, beat me up for it?]

"I can never catch them," America was explaining.

Russia leaned back against the railing and watched those floating points of light waver and drop among the bushes that lined the railroad tracks. They winked on, and off, and on: Russia would watch the dark spaces where he had last seen them with patience until they showed themselves again.

"Maybe I'm just not patient enough," America mused.

Russia glanced at him. Lights from the train yard reflected in America's glasses. "Probably not."

America grimaced at him. "Why do you always agree with me when I put myself down, but you never agree with me when I talk myself up?"

"Yes; why would that be," Russia agreed.

America elbowed him in the side. "Whatever. You couldn't catch one either."

Russia thought privately that he already had.

"May I please just speak with the fairies," England laced his hands together on his knee.

"No," Russia insisted.

England could strangle him.

"It's not as if they're really yours. You know, their civilization predates antiquity, and if you would only try to initiate some kind of dialogue with them--"

"Don't care," Russia chirped.

"…Then you might learn that collectivized farming is not a practicable option for the harvesting of fairy dust…"

"They'll just have to learn how," Russia said cheerfully. "But I must free the fairies from the yoke of capitalism."

"Fairies aren't capitalists, you insensible git--"

The pickup coasted to a stop amid a cloud of dust. America leaned forward on the steering wheel and grinned up at Belarus. Her skirts whipped around her legs. She was braced against the rollbar.

"Fun?" he prompted.

She hefted the shotgun in her hands and looked down at it thoughtfully. "Western entertainment," she mused, "Is as violent and decadent as my brother led me to believe."

"Oh, lay off." America took a swig of water.

"But I missed the sign three times," she added.

America revved the engine. "So, you want to go around again."

Crack. Reload. "Yes. Again."
